Thermodynamics: LN2 and CO2 as cleaning media
High-velocity cryogenic jets deliver localized cooling and momentum transfer. LN2 rapidly boils to gaseous N2, and CO2 pellets sublime. The phase change disrupts boundary layers and embrittles deposits without wetting the substrate.
Kinetics and substrate integrity
Particle momentum, controlled impingement angle, and moderated thermal gradients detach contaminants while preserving dimensional tolerance. The process is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and non-abrasive when used within validated parameters.
